Animal Kingdom Lodge ( near Animal Kingdom ) Ideal resort for animal lovers, nearly every room offers a view of the savannah. There is a sunset lounge overlooking the savannah as well. They have story time beside the lobby fireplace. Popular for there restaurant, "Boma."
Boardwalk ( Epcot area ) Known for its nightly entertainment, in the turn of the 20th century Atlantic City theme. Boardwalk is a very short commute to Epcot. There is also a 200 foot waterslide at the main pool and a face painting booth on the boardwalk at night.
Contemporary ( Magic Kingdom area ) One of the nearest resorts to The Magic Kingdom, the monorail rolls through it. Well known for the "California Grill" restaurant and "Chef Mickeys".
Grand Floridan Resort ( Magic Kingdom area ) This Victorian Seaside Resort has manicured rose gardens and an orchestra peforming on the balcony in the Grand Lobby. Grand Floridan is a popular resort for wedding ceremonies as well. You can enjoy dinner at 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella and her friends, but like other character dining needs to be booked well in advance. The pool at this resort is zero depth entry.
Polynesian Resort ( Magic Kingdom area ) With white sand beaches and lush green tropical settings, with the fresh smell of citrus earth, this resort is amazing. You can swim in the Volcano pool, and if you enjoy shows, you may want to book, " The Spirit Of Aloha" dinner show.
Swan and Dolphin ( Epcot area ) This resort is for guests that want the Disney perks but not necessarily a Disney hotel. These resorts offer discounts when Disney resorts are peak. This resort does offer a beach front and a grotto pool. There are swan boats fro children to enjoy as well.
Wilderness Lodge ( Magic Kingdom area ) This resort boasts steamy bubbling hot springs whirlpools. This very detailed resort has totem poles with hidden Mickeys in the main lobby. This resort also has the entertaining, do not miss, 'Whispering Canyon" restaurant, which is more entertaining in the evening than daytime.
Yacht and Beach Resort ( Epcot area ) A replica of Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket Island. This storm has a 3 acre sand bottomed pool, with waterslide and shipwreck, as well as secluded whirlpools.
Caribbean Beach Resort ( Epcot area ) This resort gives you the feel of being in the Caribbean. The main pool has a pirate ship with slides for your children. As well, some rooms are themed, "Pirates of the Caribbean." The Aruba beach has the longest strip of sand.
Coronado Springs ( Animal Kingdom area ) Themed Mexico and Southwest USA. The main pool has a Mayan temple waterslide and there is also a dig site which surrounds the resorts playgrounds.
Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside ( Downtown Disney area ) Riverside market area has the view of the large water wheel, and as you walk back to your room, you will enjoy the nature that greets you along the way. The French Quarter side has a very romantic feel, with beautiful gardens and a lovely boat ride to Downtown Disney.
Fort Wilderness Cabins and Campground ( Magic Kingdom area ) This resort is more moderate then value. The campground has value to it, as you bring your own travel trailer and pay the site cost, however the cabin, usually costs alittle more than other moderate resorts as you can comfortably fit 6 people in them, they also come with there own kitchen. So even though it costs alittle more, you gain more occupancy and the advantage of cooking some of your own meals if you want to cut down on meal costs.. You can join the nightly bonfire and roast marshmallows with Chip and Dale.
All Star Movies, Music and Sports ( Animal Kingdom Lodge area ) These resorts are great!! As they are affordable and fun for the family. So if your family enjoys sports, I would recommend the Sports All Star resort, with giant Sporting Equipment as the outdoor decor. They have very large arcades as well. If your family has always enjoyed the Disney movies, then I would recommend the Disney Movies Resort, there you will find decor from different movies around the resort, great photo opportunities at this resort as well. And last but not least, The Music Resort, with there piano key swimming pool, I would recommend for the music enthusiast.
Pop Century Resort ( Animal Kingdom Lodge area ) Themed on America pop culture, this resort has a state of the art arcade, oversized cell phones, yo-yos and bowling pins. This is another affordable fun resort for families.
Art Of Animation Resort One of the newest value resorts, this resort has family themed rooms, such as Finding Nemo, Lion King and The Little Mermaid. This resort is one of the nicest and newest value resorts.
