What a great time of year to visit the "Magic Kingdom." On selected nights in September and October you and your family or friends, can purchase tickets to celebrate"The, Mickeys, Not So Scary Halloween Party." You and your little ones or big ones, can join in on the festivities of the evening from trick or treating, character meet and greets, and fantastic parades..
My family and I have been able to attend "The Mickeys, Not So Scary Halloween Party" a few times, and my best advice is,
1) Have a nap sometime during the day of the party, as the gates open at 7pm and close at midnight or there after, little ones and big ones can become tired and cranky. So, an afternoon nap allows everyone to enjoy there Halloween party, after all you paid to get in, you want to enjoy every minute.
2) Wear comfortable shoes, even if your little character, such as a princess wants to wear the glittery princess shoes, take along a pair of slip ons, or running shoes. After 5 hours of trick or treating, and walking from rides to parade locations, comfortable shoes, can prevent tears and blisters..
3) Have you family choose costumes that are going to be easy to wear, lightweight as the Florida weather can be very warm even that late in the evening, also easy to walk around in. I seen a number of little girls getting their flowing gowns stepped on nearly tripping them.
Important times guide
There are two parades that evening, ( the second one is usually less crowded ) they are at 7:50pm and 10:05pm.
The Headless Horseman starts the parade at 8:10pm and 10:25pm.
The fireworks, which are the best fireworks offered throughout the whole year, start at 9:30 pm.
Also, the same evening there are two dance parties, " Monstrous- Scream-O-Ween Ball is located in Tomorrowland, and "Club Villain," is located in Frontierland. Both of these parties your child will have character interaction, it is really a fun time..
